Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support the care team in a part-time role at our Aurora location. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks vital to patient care and collaborate with providers to ensure a smooth, compassionate experience for every patient.

The position requires MA program completion or current MA certification, BLS within 45 days, and a GED/HS equivalency. Travel to Huntley 2 days per month is required.

Qualifications

Current Medical Assistant certification or program completion is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 45 days unless exempt.
GED or HS equivalency diploma is required.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
