Job summary

Affirmed Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate LPN to provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care for an 11-year-old with quadriplegia in Allendale, NJ. This private duty role covers home and school settings, including G-tube care, suctioning, and mobility support.

The LPN will work a schedule including Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (3:30 PM coverage possible) and Saturday/Sunday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Compensation is $40/hr with a supportive team and family.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey LPN license required.
• Experience with G-tubes, suctioning, airway management, and complex pediatric patients preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Authorized to work in the United States; valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort, and clinical stability.
• Manage and monitor G-tube feedings.
• Perform suctioning and respiratory support interventions.
• Administer cough assist treatments as ordered.
• Assess and monitor respiratory status and overall condition.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with the family, school staff, and pediatric clinical team to ensure continuity of care.

Provide meaningful, life-changing 1:1 pediatric nursing care for an 11-year-old patient who relies on skilled nursing support. Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for a pediatric patient in Allendale, NJ with quadriplegia secondary to a brain tumor, requiring G-tube feedings, suctioning, cough assist treatments, and mobility support in the home and school settings.

Available Shifts

Coverage Needed:

• Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (3:30 PM coverage may also be considered)

Pay Rate

LPN: $40/hr

What You Bring

• Active New Jersey LPN License
• Experience with G-tubes, suctioning, airway management, and medically complex pediatric patients preferred
• Current BLS Certification
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Physical exam within 12 months
• PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
• Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
