Job summary

Affirmed Home Care, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 private duty nursing for an 11-year-old with quadriplegia in Allendale, NJ. The role supports care at home and in school settings, focusing on safety, comfort, and clinical stability.

You will administer G-tube feedings, suctioning, and cough assist therapy, collaborating with family and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care. A stable, daytime schedule and meaningful impact are offered.

Qualifications

• NJ RN license active and in good standing.
• BLS certification current.
• Experience with G-tube feedings, suctioning, cough assist, and medically complex pediatric patients.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Physical exam within 12 months.
• PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years).
• Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort, and clinical stability.
• Administer and monitor G-tube feedings.
• Perform suctioning and airway management as needed.
• Administer cough assist therapy and monitor respiratory status.
• Assess changes in condition and communicate updates to care team.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with family, school personnel, physicians, and clinical team to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.

Setting: Pediatric Private Duty Nursing (Home & School)

Provide meaningful, life-changing 1:1 pediatric nursing care for a child who depends on skilled clinical support. Affirmed Home Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to care for an 11-year-old pediatric patient with quadriplegia secondary to a brain tumor in Allendale, NJ.

Available Shifts

Coverage Needed:

• Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (3:30 PM coverage may also be considered)
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Case

• 11-year-old pediatric patient with quadriplegia secondary to a brain tumor
• Requires G-tube feedings and routine G-tube care
• Suctioning support throughout the day at home and school
• Cough assist treatments
• Wheelchair dependent
• Assistance with transfers, positioning, and mobility needs
• Consistent daytime schedule

What You'll Do

• Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort, and clinical stability

Pay Rate

RN: $50/hr

What You Bring

• Active New Jersey RN License
• Preferred experience with G-tube feedings, suctioning, cough assist, and medically complex pediatric patients
• Current BLS Certification
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Physical exam within 12 months
