Job summary

Affirmed Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide 1:1 private duty care for an 11-year-old with quadriplegia in Allendale, NJ. The role covers home and school settings, with a daytime schedule and weekend coverage options.

You will manage G-tube feedings, suctioning, cough-assist therapy, and mobility support, collaborating closely with family and school staff. NJ RN license and BLS are required, along with authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license is required.
• Experience with G-tube, suctioning, cough assist, and medically complex pediatric patients preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort and clinical stability.
• Administer and monitor G-tube feedings.
• Perform suctioning and airway management as needed.
• Administer cough assist therapy and monitor respiratory status.
• Assess for condition changes and communicate updates promptly.
• Assist with mobility, positioning and activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with family, school staff and clinical team for continuity of care.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.

Available Shifts

Coverage Needed:

• Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (3:30 PM coverage may also be considered)
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

About the Case

• 11-year-old pediatric patient with quadriplegia secondary to a brain tumor
• Requires G-tube feedings and routine G-tube care
• Suctioning support throughout the day at home and school
• Cough assist treatments
• Wheelchair dependent
• Assistance with transfers, positioning, and mobility needs

What You'll Do

• Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care focused on safety, comfort, and clinical stability
• Administer and monitor G-tube feedings

• Assist with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living
• Collaborate with the family, school personnel, physicians, and Affi… clinical team to ensure continuity of care
• Complete accurate clinical documentation

Pay Rate

RN: $50/hr

What You Bring

• Active New Jersey RN License
• Preferred experience with G-tube feedings, suctioning, cough assist, and medically complex pediatric patients
• Current BLS Certification
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Physical exam within 12 months
• PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
• Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
