Job summary

The Toledo Clinic's Pediatrics Department in Oregon, OH seeks a full-time Medical Receptionist. This role will work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Prior experience in a medical office is preferred and professional appearance is expected.

You will perform front-desk duties such as answering phones, verifying referrals and pre-certifications, updating insurance information, collecting co-pays, preparing charge tickets, and maintaining patient charts and exam rooms.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.
• Punctual and professional appearance expected.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones courteously and professionally.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Answering general patient questions.
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
• Collecting co-pays.
• Preparing and submitting charge tickets.
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
• Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
