Job summary

Advocate Health in Macon, GA seeks a CT technologist to perform radiology exams, prepare patients, and ensure quality imaging with radiologist support. The PRN/ondemand schedule involves shift rotations, safety compliance, and collaboration with medical staff.

The candidate must hold ARRT in Radiology or NMTCB and ARRT CT or equivalent, plus BLS. Experience with CT, contrast administration, and patient care is preferred; benefits are included per Advocate Health policies.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers to Radiologist.
• Identifies patients and explains procedures; prepares for exams.
• Interviews patients and collects medical history; reviews EMR for pertinent data.
• Remains responsible for exam from start to final dictated result.
• Prepares/administers IV contrast according to protocol.
• Evaluates image quality and consults Radiologist as needed.
• Provides basic patient care and responds to emergencies.
• Performs CT scanning and assists during invasive procedures.
• Operates radiology computer systems and documents contrast.
• Maintains a clean, stocked work area; adheres to safety policies.

Education

ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB and ARRT CT within one year, BLS required
