Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Faculty - Pediatrics to educate and mentor the next generation of nurses. The role encompasses facilitating learning, developing curriculum, and evaluating outcomes in accordance with state regulations.

The ideal candidate will hold an MSN, be BSN-appropriate as needed for campus requirements, and have at least two years of RN clinical experience. The position may require evenings or weekends and travel to clinical sites.

Qualifications

• Active, current, unencumbered RN licensure per state board.
• MSN required; BSN may be considered depending on campus needs.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that facilitates learning and achieving desired student outcomes.
• Implements teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs and content.
• Helps students develop as nurses and integrate professional values.
• Assesses and evaluates student learning in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Analyzes assessment data to inform program improvement.
• Implements program PSLOs to guide curriculum and evaluation.
• Develops program assessments for quality improvement.
• Engages in professional development related to faculty role.
• Maintains knowledge to prepare students for contemporary nursing practice.
• Adheres to state and regulatory board requirements.
