Qualifications

• Terminal degree (DO or MD) in the relevant specialty.
• Board certification through AOA or ABMS.
• Prior teaching experience with medical students and/or resident physicians
• Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in clinical education or academic medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the assigned clerkship; oversee faculty, sites and evaluation systems.
• Maintain and enhance the clerkship curriculum in line with national standards and osteopathic principles.
• Foster a supportive learning environment; mentor students and support career pathways.
• Assist with recruitment, supervision and development of adjunct faculty and conduct site visits.
• Build relationships with hospitals and clinical partners; represent the institution in professional networks.
