Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Director of Advanced Practice for the pediatrics service line at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Advanced Practice Providers across divisions and reports to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.

This role partners with departmental and system leadership to implement clinical initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an advanced practice provider with proven leadership and operations responsibilities.
• Master’s degree required for NP or PA licensure and practice in NC.
• BLS certification and NC licensure requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for APPs across divisions.
• Partner with leadership to develop clinical initiatives and ensure quality care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and credentialing per standards.
• Lead recruitment, hiring, and professional development for APPs.
