Job summary

Duke Pediatrics in Durham, NC invites applications for Chief of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The Division Chief will guide a collaborative, academically distinguished division and shape pediatric emergency care across Duke and North Carolina.

The successful candidate will lead strategic planning, clinical programs, faculty development, and research efforts while supporting the NC Children’s Hospital initiative and Duke Health collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required.
• Board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine required.
• Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina.
• Academic appointment at Associate Professor or Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and academic leadership for the division.
• Lead clinical care, education, research, and quality initiatives.
• Develop innovative clinical programs and care delivery models.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain outstanding faculty.
• Contribute to planning for the future North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
