Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Charlotte Pediatrics: Southpark site. This full-time role supports pediatric care teams, performing rooming, vital signs, health history, and patient education under supervision.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, assisted procedures, POCT, vaccine administration, scheduling, and maintenance of a clean, compliant clinical environment. Candidates should have MA training and a strong focus on patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical practice as Medical Assistant.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and follow department policies.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope and follows policies; maintains competency.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and performs lab duties incl. venipuncture.
• Performs POCT and CLIA-waived tests per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and compliant clinical environment.
• May assist with training and onboarding of teammates.
• Provides age-appropriate care and communicates effectively with patients.
