PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a pediatric urgent care setting. You will greet and register patients, take medical histories and vitals, and prepare patients for X-rays while assisting with routine lab work and wound care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to learn medical software.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (throat and urine cultures; venipuncture).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds; assist with QA testing in the lab.
• Maintain waiting area and exam rooms with supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and respond to emergencies with the medical team.
• Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with service recovery and patient complaints as needed.
• Support other duties including splint application and assisting nurses.
