PM Pediatric Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care operations. You will assist with clinical and administrative tasks, greet and register patients, obtain histories and vitals, and prepare patients for imaging and labs.

Role involves wound care, lab assistance, and ensuring a clean, safe patient environment under physician supervision. Pediatric experience preferred; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience or education as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Experience with pediatric care and patient interactions is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (venipuncture preferred).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in performing quality control testing in the lab.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team and assist with patient care within the scope.
• Keep exam rooms and front reception stocked with adequate supplies.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the waiting room area.
• Practice standard safety practices and precautions; respond to emergencies and notify medical team as needed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations.
• Assists patients with complaints and contributes to service recovery when needed.
• Performs other duties including applying splints and assisting nurse/provider in procedures.
