Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative functions in our pediatric urgent care locations. You will help with patient intake, vital signs, labs, wound care, and preparation for X-rays under physician supervision.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient comfort, and efficient office operations to deliver high-quality pediatric care. A friendly, professional demeanor and pediatric experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience or education.
• Knowledge of pediatric EKG placement is a plus.
• Ability to obtain labs using nasal swab/venipuncture.
• Professional, friendly demeanor and strong communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; quick to learn medical software.
• Experience with medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients on arrival.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (e.g., throat and urine cultures).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds; assist in lab QC testing.
• Be part of the patient care team under physician supervision.
• Maintain exam rooms and front desk supplies; ensure waiting area cleanliness.
• Respond to emergencies and notify medical team as needed.
• Protect patient information and confidentiality.
