PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative functions in a pediatric urgent care environment. You will greet patients, document histories, obtain vitals, and assist with radiology prep and basic lab work.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient confidentiality, and delivering compassionate care under physician supervision while maintaining an organized, efficient front and back office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience or education.
• Knowledge of pediatric care beneficial.
• Ability to obtain lab tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Demonstrates professional demeanor and strong communication.
• Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, vitals, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (venipuncture etc).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in quality control testing in the lab.
• Support patient care within scope of practice.
• Maintain stocked exam rooms and front reception.
• Keep waiting area clean and organized.
• Respond to emergencies and notify medical team.
• Follow policies and report changes to management.
• Protect patient confidentiality.
• Contribute to service value and take ownership of tasks.
• Assist patients with complaints and service recovery.
• Assist with splints and other procedures as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
