Job summary

PM Pediatrics in Bridgewater, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a pediatric urgent care setting under physician supervision. You will greet patients, collect histories, record vitals, prepare patients for X-rays, and assist with wounds and lab tests as part of a caring patient care team.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prior Medical Assistant experience, pediatric exposure, and comfort with computers and medical software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience or education in clinical setting.
• Knowledge of EKG placement in children beneficial.
• Ability to obtain nasal swab labs and venipuncture.
• Professional, friendly demeanor and strong communication.
• Prior pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with computers and medical software; willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vitals, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (throat/urine); venipuncture if needed.
• Irrigate and assist with wounds and other procedures.
• Assist in quality control testing in the lab.
• Maintain exam rooms and waiting areas with supplies.
• Respond to emergencies and notify medical team when needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and assist with service recovery when needed.
• Assist with splints and other procedures as directed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and teamwork.
