Job summary

Gillette Children’s is seeking a full-time Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across two St. Paul locations, with occasional coverage in Maple Grove and Burnsville. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–5:00 pm, with weekend/evening differential.

RDMS certification required; pediatric experience is a plus. You will work in a patient-centered Imaging department, delivering high-quality images and explanations to physicians while ensuring safety and comfort for all ages.

Qualifications

• Certified, registered and in good standing with the ARDMS and RVT OR must complete RVT certification within 12 months of employment.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification; must complete BLS if not already current within one month of employment.
• Experience working with pediatric and/or disabled populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams following departmental procedures and guidelines.
• Identify, record, and adapt procedures to patient age and condition.
• Differentiate normal vs. pathological findings and communicate results to physicians.
• Produce high-quality images meeting physician and radiologist expectations.
• Prepare imaging room and ensure patient safety and comfort.
