Job summary

Gillette Children’s is seeking a full-time Sonographer to join our imaging team in St. Paul, MN. The role involves performing diagnostic pediatric ultrasounds across two St.

Paul sites with occasional coverage at Maple Grove and Burnsville clinics. Schedule is four days per week, Monday–Friday 7:30 am–5:00 pm, with RDMS and pediatric experience highly preferred. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform exams, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Certified, registered and in good standing with ARDMS and RVT OR must complete RVT certification within 12 months of employment.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience working with pediatric and/or disabled populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams in accordance with departmental procedures and guidelines.
• Identify the correct patient and exam, prepare the imaging room, and verify orders.
• Acquire high quality images and document findings for physicians and radiologists.
• Document procedures in RIS and ensure proper image transfer and archiving.
• Discharge the patient with post-procedure instructions and ensure patient education.
