Job summary

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join the pediatric abdominal transplant team for liver and kidney programs. The six APPs provide inpatient and outpatient coverage with a focus on transplant care and coordination for medically complex patients.

The role involves collaboration with physicians, nutritionists, social workers and pharmacists, and requires strong communication across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Pediatric NP or PA licensure in Arizona.
• At least one year of NP/PA experience in pediatrics or transplant preferred.
• Previous inpatient clinical experience required, preferably in transplant care.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient coverage for liver and kidney transplant programs seven days a week in rotation.
• Outpatient coverage for the liver transplant program and autonomous clinic work.
• Collaborate with hepatologists, nephrologists, surgeons, pharmacists and other staff; provide education to patients and families.
