Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join the pediatric kidney and liver transplant programs. This role will be one of six APPs providing inpatient and outpatient coverage to the transplant services, collaborating with hepatologists, nephrologists, surgeons, nutritionists, social workers and pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Arizona NP/PA licensure required.
• 1+ year pediatrics or transplant experience preferred.
• Inpatient experience required, ideally in transplant care.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage for pediatric liver and kidney transplant programs as part of a six-APP team.
• Perform rounds, consults, and discharge education for pre/post transplant patients.
• Coordinate care with hepatologists, nephrologists, surgeons, nutritionists, social workers and pharmacists.
• Deliver autonomous outpatient management including transplant evaluations and follow-up.
• Engage in team communication and participate in transplant program meetings.
