Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner (PA/NP) to join our pediatric abdominal transplant team.

The position provides inpatient and outpatient coverage for pediatric kidney and liver transplant programs, collaborating with hepatology, nephrology, surgeons, and a multidisciplinary team. The role requires licensed Arizona PA or NP credentials, with preference for transplant or pediatric experience, including inpatient care and surgical first

Qualifications

• PA/NP licensure in Arizona.
• At least one year of PA/NP experience in pediatrics or transplant is preferred.
• Surgical first ability and/or experience required.
• Previous inpatient clinical experience, preferably in transplant patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage to pediatric liver and kidney transplant programs seven days per week in rotation.
• Provide outpatient coverage for the liver transplant program when not inpatient.
• Assist with pre-, intra-, and post-transplant care, including immunosuppressant management.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate discharge planning.
• Collaborate with hepatologists, nephrologists, surgeons, nutritionist, social worker, and pharmacist.
