Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) to join the pediatric abdominal transplant team. This role supports inpatient and outpatient coverage across the pediatric liver and kidney transplant programs and collaborates with hepatology, nephrology and surgical teams on a daily basis.

The role requires AZ PA/NP licensure, pediatric or transplant experience, and inpatient transplant experience.

Qualifications

• Arizona PA/NP licensure required; pediatrics or transplant experience preferred.
• Surgical first assist experience desired.
• Prior inpatient transplant care required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient coverage for pediatric liver and kidney transplant programs seven days a week.
• Outpatient coverage for the liver transplant program when not inpatient.
• Coordinate care with hepatologists, nephrologists, surgeons and transplant team.
• Educate patients and families; supervise transplant MAs and RNs.
