Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, LLC is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support pediatric and special needs patients in a surgical setting. The RDA assists in procedures, scrubs for surgeries, sterilizes equipment and maintains sterile rooms, while coordinating with the dental team.

The role requires an Accredited Dental Assistant Program, current RDA license, and a BLS certificate, plus at least one year of RDA experience.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Completion of an Accredited Dental Assistant Program.
Current state license to practice as a registered dental assistant.
One year of RDA experience.
Current BLS Certificate.
Background and Drug Screening Required.

Responsibilities

Assist and anticipate needs of the dentist and anesthesia provider with instruments, sutures, sponges and supplies.
Prepare for dental surgical cases by collecting supplies and equipment; maintain inventory and stock room.
Familiar with procedures performed and dentist preferences.
Provide care based on the age-related needs of pediatric and adolescent patients.
Assist with patient transfer from bed to gurney and turnover of the OR.
Decontaminate and maintain equipment and rooms; ensure sterility per guidelines.
Take x-rays and check x-ray equipment.
Stock and clean rooms between cases and at end of schedule.
Front Desk duties and Patient Service Coordinator responsibilities.
