Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the interdisciplinary healthcare team in Chapel Hill, NC. The NP will provide high-quality, cost-effective care within the APP scope in collaboration with a supervising physician.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, development of treatment plans, education of patients and families, and participation in quality initiatives to improve patient care and ensure adherence to policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in advanced practice care.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Clinically assess patients and perform comprehensive physicals.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe and order appropriate pharmacologic therapies within privileges.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Participate in quality improvement, protocols, and interdisciplinary team projects.
