Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina; Acute Care PNP license strongly preferred.
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: obtain patient history, perform exams, interpret tests, develop and implement treatment plans.
• Education: educate patients and families, develop educational materials, train staff and students.
• Leadership: provide instruction to physicians, housestaff, nursing and students; lead outreach programs.
• Professional: communicate respectfully with patients and team; ensure timely care and efficient workflow.
• Quality/Research: engage in continuous quality improvement and participate in protocol development.
