UNC Health Care System’s Pediatrics department in Chapel Hill seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join the interdisciplinary team in PICU. The APP will provide high-quality, cost-effective care within the scope of practice under physician supervision, with duties across clinical assessment, treatment planning, education, and collaboration.

Key requirements include completion of an accredited AP education program, NC APRN licensure, and board certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider program completion.
• Licensure as APRN/PA in North Carolina (or eligible).
• Board certification as required by department.

Responsabilités

• Obtain PMH, perform exams, interpret tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, care plans and follow-ups.
• Precept and train physicians, housestaff, and students; participate in rounds and meetings.
• Maintain professional communication with team and patients; ensure timely documentation.
