Job summary

Shriners Children’s is actively seeking a Pediatric Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our Northern California team. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible with fellowships in pediatric and spinal surgery, and will treat complex pediatric spinal deformities at a tertiary/quaternary referral center.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, surgical and non-surgical management, and collaboration with multiple subspecialists.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school and board eligible/board certified in orthopedic surgery.
• ACGME-accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery is required.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Spinal Surgery is required.
• ABOS board certification or eligibility; licensure in the practicing state.
• Active DEA eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans for pediatric spinal disorders.
• Provide surgical and non-surgical management according to standards of care.
• Participate in inpatient/outpatient care, pre/postoperative management, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
