Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Spine Surgery
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery with subspecialty in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
• Eligibility for active and unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice
• Eligibility for active DEA
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and PALS certifications
• Comprehensive knowledge of pediatric spine conditions and growth considerations

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for pediatric spine deformities
• Provide surgical and non-surgical management per current standards of care
• Inpatient/outpatient care including preop/postop management and discharge planning
• Perform operative procedures per institutional protocols and safety standards
• Collaborate with pediatricians, physiatrists, therapists, and subspecialists
• Maintain documentation in electronic medical record systems
• Participate in shared call coverage and rounds
• Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance
• Engage in medical education, research, and scholarly activities as appropriate
• Meet productivity and performance benchmarks
