Job summary

CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Louisiana seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to assess, plan, evaluate and implement patient care under the Director of Physical Therapy.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• Vital Stim, FEES, MBSIMP and E-Swallow certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and documents initial assessment and care per policy.
• Performs reassessments and documents progress at required intervals.
• Documents in medical records and reports progress weekly.
• Maintains infection control practices and uses PPE when applicable.
• Provides patient/family education and coordinates therapy with the interdisciplinary team.
• Oversees care planning and supervises rehabilitative technicians as needed.
