Job summary

North-Texas-Therapy-and-Home-Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled therapy at patients' homes or daytime clinics in the 0–21 age group, multiple times weekly. You will assess, diagnose, and implement speech, language, oral-motor, swallowing, and feeding interventions as prescribed by physicians.

Work with a multidisciplinary team, educate families, and potentially supervise Clinical Fellows.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year (CCC-SLP).
• Current Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
