Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Tucson, AZ seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our pediatric team. You will assess and treat children ages 2–6 using an interdisciplinary early intervention model, incorporating AAC and ESDM strategies to broaden communication skills with families.

The role offers a 4x10 or 5x8 schedule, full-time permanent employment, and a supportive environment with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCC-SLP required, unless applying for a Clinical Fellowship position.
• Current license to practice speech language pathology.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• AAC experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Interest in interdisciplinary pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver developmentally appropriate speech therapy for children ages 2–6 in an early intervention setting.
• Develop and implement communication interventions, including AAC strategies and devices when appropriate.
• Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and coordinate treatment plans with OTs, BCBAs, psychologists, and other clinicians.
• Integrate communication goals into Soar’s ESDM-informed approach to early intervention.
• Partner with families to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies they can use outside of therapy.
• Collaborate with RBTs and other clinicians so communication goals are reinforced throughout each child’s day.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans based on data, clinical judgment, and each child’s evolving needs.
