Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide pediatric speech therapy within an interdisciplinary early intervention model for children ages 2 to 6 with autism. The SLP will work with a team employing ES DM-informed strategies and AAC interventions to support meaningful communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CSD from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification required unless applying for CF position.
• Current license to practice speech language pathology.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• AAC experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver speech therapy for children ages 2 to 6 in an early intervention setting.
• Develop and implement communication interventions, including AAC strategies and devices.
• Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and coordinate treatment plans with OTs, BCBAs, psychologists, and other clinicians.
• Integrate communication goals into ES DM-informed early intervention approach.
• Partner with families to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies.
• Collaborate with RBTs and other clinicians to reinforce communication goals.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans based on data and clinical judgment.
