Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients, assist dentists across specialties, and help maintain a clean, efficient operatory.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, state-mandated certifications, and the ability to travel to multiple offices. Driving may be required along with a background check and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and state-mandated trainings.
• Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; travel to multiple offices.
• Background check and motor vehicle record review required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist clinicians to deliver PPE and patient care.
• Escort patients to the front desk and introduce to team members.
• Coordinate with front/back office to ensure orthodontic schedules run smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and instrument sterilization.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist dentist for efficient care.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral photos as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and manage inventory in operatories.
• Keep mouths dry with suction and other devices.
• Instruct patients on postoperative care and oral health.
