Job summary

PDS Health seeks a Dental Assistant to support clinicians, ensuring a Perfect Patient Experience and Patients for Life. You will assist in varied duties across patient care, chairside support, and lab tasks, maintaining a clean, safe environment and coordinating with front/back office teams.

The role requires compliance with state regulations, travel between offices as needed, and a focus on patient care, teamwork, and professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED; state-mandated certification, licensure, or registration as required by the state.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; travel to multiple offices per day.
• In lieu of a valid driver’s license, alternate transportation acceptable for required travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to provide efficient, quality dental care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; maintain operatory cleanliness per infection control guidelines.
• Keep patients informed and comfortable; escort to/from front desk and introduce team members as needed.
• Record charting and clinician notes in the digital patient chart; present records to clinician before treatment.
• Support treatment by arranging supplies and tray setups; ensure adequate inventory is on hand.
• Assist with radiographs, intra-oral pictures, and prepare treatment records as directed.

Education

High school diploma or GED

1-year certificate (college/technical school)
