PDS Health is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience, creating a Patient for Life. You will assist dental procedures, manage radiographs and charting, and maintain a clean, safe operatory across multiple offices.

The role requires high school diploma or GED with state-mandated certs, and may involve travel between offices. A valid driver’s license and insurance are preferred for Specialty Dental Assistants.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED, plus state-mandated certification training.
• Certificates/licenses/registrations: as required by state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices may be required; reliable transportation.
• Preferred: one-year certificate from accredited college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform functions in accordance with the applicable state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in PPE by focusing on patient care and addressing individual needs and concerns.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members as appropriate.
• Communicate with front and back office teams to ensure orthodontists’ schedules run smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; clean each operatory per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to enable efficient, quality care.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed by the clinician.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Keep patients’ mouths dry and clear using suction or other devices.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records and health history to clinicians prior to treatment.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
• Support Lead Dental Assistant in ensuring supplies are on hand.
• Utilize and explain dental equipment to others.
• Participate in daily huddles, team meetings, and other required gatherings.
