Job summary

PDS Health is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients, assist dentists, sterilize equipment, and help maintain a clean, friendly office environment in a fast-paced dental setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a one-year certificate, and the ability to travel between offices as needed. Competitive hourly pay is offered for Golden, CO, with opportunities to learn and grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and required state certifications.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations must meet state requirements.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices may be required.
• Background checks may be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties according to state-permitted, dental auxiliaries scope.
• Support PPE to keep patients focused on treatment and comfort.
• Escort patients to front desk and introduce team members as appropriate.
• Coordinate with front/back office to ensure orthodontic schedules run smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments; follow infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist for efficient care.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral photos when directed by the clinician.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Keep patients’ mouths dry using suction and similar devices.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Record charting and clinician notes in digital records as directed.
• Present treatment records, consents, and health history to clinician prior to treatment.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
• Work with Lead Dental Assistant to ensure supplies are available.
• Learn and demonstrate operating dental equipment to others.
• Attend daily huddles and team meetings as required.
• Model company culture and brand standards.
• Implement Perfect Patient Experience to gain Patients for Life.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor per policies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
