Job summary

Dentists of Midlothian and Orthodontics is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, efficient operatory.

You will collaborate with the front desk and lead Dental Assistant to ensure smooth scheduling and high-quality care. Adherence to infection control guidelines and active participation in team meetings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state-mandated certification/licensure as applicable.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college or tech school preferred.
• Specialty dental assistants must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance; travel to multiple offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state dental auxiliaries table of permitted duties.
• Assist clinicians during exams and procedures; prepare and position patients.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness per infection control guidelines.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed by the clinician.
• Maintain supplies and assist with patient record documentation in the digital chart.
