Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Pediatrics: O/P Acute Therapy unit. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat children with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities include developing written care plans, managing caseloads, discharging patients with home programs, and collaborating with physicians and staff to optimize outcomes. A Master's degree and SLP licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology and state licensure to practice as an SLP.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in applicable state; BLS per policy.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork for pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Interprets referrals and conducts speech-language evaluations for diverse disorders.
• Develops and implements care plans with written goals and progress notes.
• Plans discharge with home programs, family teaching, and community referrals.
• Documents patient care, maintains records, and meets billing standards.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and appropriate equipment use.
