Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Pediatrics Rehabilitation department at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Palos. Expect full-time hours with a typical schedule of Mon–Fri, including a half day on Wednesday, and a competitive pay range with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating with physicians and care teams to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited school or educational requirements commensurate with the date of graduation.
• Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• Experience working in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and conducts speech and language evaluations.
• Develops written plan of care and implements individualized treatment.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts treatment plans based on patient response.
• Completes required documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Maintains billing, scheduling, and productivity standards.
