Job summary

ECMC is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for Early Intervention and Preschool programs for children from birth to five years old. The role involves assessing communication and feeding skills, planning evidence-based therapy, and delivering services in the child’s least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

• Possession of a license and current registration to practice Speech-Language Pathology in New York State.
• Ability to assess and plan therapy for birth to five years old children enrolled in EI and Preschool programs.
• Capability to communicate with families, educators and treatment team members.

Responsibilities

• Conducts speech-language assessments to determine presence and extent of disorders; prepares assessment reports.
• Plans and provides therapy in the child’s least restrictive environment per IFSP/IEP.
• Develops age-appropriate educational goals and maintains records and reports.
• Maintains regular communication with families and treatment team members.
• Supervises Clinical Fellowship Year candidates and participates in team conferences.
