Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in Norwood, MA seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our early intervention team. You will provide home and community-based services to infants and toddlers birth to three, partnering with families to tailor services to their priorities and culture.

The role involves collaborating with families to develop IFSPs, delivering developmentally appropriate interventions, and ensuring high-quality documentation and communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA).
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual/Bicultural is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities for birth to three years with parent coaching.
• Provide service coordination by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans.
• Partner with families in IFSP development to identify goals and strategies.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to support child development.
• Complete progress notes, reports, and assessments using Thom electronic documentation.
• Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers with delays or at risk.
