Job summary

Soar Autism Center is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist to provide pediatric speech therapy for children ages 2 to 6 within an interdisciplinary early intervention model. You will assess needs, develop individualized plans, and deliver developmentally appropriate therapy using AAC strategies as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCC-SLP required, unless applying for a Clinical Fellowship position.
• Current license to practice speech language pathology.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• AAC experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver developmentally appropriate speech therapy for children ages 2 to 6 in an early intervention setting
• Develop and implement communication interventions, including AAC strategies and devices when appropriate
• Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and coordinate treatment plans with OTs, BCBAs, psychologists, and other clinicians
• Integrate communication goals into Soar’s ESDM-informed approach to early intervention
• Partner with families to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies they can use outside of therapy
• Collaborate with RBTs and other clinicians so communication goals are reinforced throughout each child’s day
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans based on data, clinical judgment, and each child’s evolving needs
