UBMD Pediatrics seeks a compassionate Polysomnography Technician to support pediatric sleep studies in our overnight pediatric sleep lab. You will help children feel comfortable, monitor patients, and maintain lab equipment, serving as the first point of contact from scheduling through the visit.

The role involves applying electrodes, overseeing up to two patients per night, and ensuring a welcoming experience with on-site duties and proper lab prep. Prior sleep-tech experience is not required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; LPN; RT or PSGT degree required.
• Must hold a valid NY license as a polysomnographic technologist or respiratory therapist: RPSGT, CPSGT, BRPT, RRT, RTT, CRT.

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostic polysomnograms for pediatric/adolescent patients ages 0–21 in a pediatric sleep lab.
• Apply electrodes and monitoring equipment for sleep studies.
• Monitor and maintain equipment for up to two patients per night during 8-hour overnight studies.
• Prepare the sleep lab and equipment before each study and clean up after procedures.
• Wash reusable equipment, make and strip beds, and handle laundry.
• Communicate with pediatric patients and parents regarding sleep studies and medical concerns.
• Receive on-the-job training; prior experience is not required.
