Job summary

University of Missouri Health Care is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist for the Adult and Pediatric Sleep Lab. The role involves operating complex sleep study equipment overnight, scoring results, and assisting with diagnoses to improve patient sleep health.

Qualifications

• Registration with ABSM, BRPT or NBRC credentials required or preferred.
• Preferred: Associate degree in science/health field.
• Holds or is eligible for Sleep Disorders specialty credentials.

Responsibilities

• Explain test procedures to patients prior to studies.
• Record and score sleep/wake results.
• Collaborate with physicians on interpretation of results.
• Adapt test methods to obtain optimal patient results.
• Maintain and calibrate sleep equipment and sensors.
• Complete necessary documentation and billing.
• Mentor technicians and support onboarding.
