Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Sleep Center Technologist to perform night-time sleep studies and document results per policy. The role emphasizes excellent communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team, while ensuring safety and comfort during nocturnal studies.

Responsibilities include running polysomnography in Neurophysiology labs, interpreting waveforms, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Sleep Technologist required.
• Pediatric polysomnography experience preferred.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited polysomnography program; STAR/BRPT may substitute for experience.
• BLS certification and RPSGT certification required.
• RST certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Master neurodiagnostic sleep studies.
• Conduct tests in Neurophysiology lab and inpatient units.
• Apply electrodes per international standards.
• Independently interpret waveforms and anatomy.
• Score sleep studies and clinical events.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education.
• Report incidents and equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
