Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, is seeking a Polysomnographic (PSG) Technologist to perform overnight sleep studies, including PSG, MSLT and CPAP titration, under supervision. You will ensure accurate data collection, patient safety, and high-quality patient care across neonatal to adult populations.

The ideal candidate has a polysomnography credential, BLS, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced Sleep Lab environment.

Qualifications

  • Requires completion of an accredited polysomnography program or equivalent experience.
  • Must be licensed/registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist in DC or equivalent certification.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with overnight PSG, MSLT/MWT and ambulatory monitoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct overnight polysomnography and specialty sleep studies per protocol.
  • Prepare patients and families; explain procedures and expectations.
  • Calibrate and maintain sleep testing equipment and interfaces.
  • Score sleep stages and events; generate accurate reports.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout testing and procedures.

High School Diploma or GED
Associate degree in polysomnography or related program (1+ year)
Polysomnography program with state/national accreditation
