Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Sleep Lab Technologist for the Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery in Plano, TX. This PRN role covers nights (6:00pm - 6:00am) with weekend availability and a focus on patient safety during sleep studies.

You will perform setup, monitoring, and data acquisition for polysomnograms, adhering to established protocols and ensuring high-quality study data. A polysomnography program and RPSGT are required or expected upon hire.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a polysomnography program of at least 1 year or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients during testing and use of equipment.
• Review patient history, allergies, medications, and questionnaires.
• Explain procedures before, during, and after sleep studies.
• Perform patient set-up with electrodes and monitors.
• Follow protocols (MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration).
• Monitor patient via video for unusual sleep behaviors.
• Ensure data is collected and signals are artifact-free.
