Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Medical terminology course or Medical Assistant training preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in an acute care facility, outpatient surgery center, or surgeon's office.
• Pediatric and/or orthopedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules or re-schedules clinic appointments in SHCIS and maintains accuracy in labels, itineraries, and charts.
• Notifies patients and families about regularly scheduled appointments and changes.
• Preoperatively coordinates related services to ensure smooth perioperative transition and HIPAA form completion.
