• Cross trained to cover other scheduling roles.
• Prepare medical records reviews and process orders.
• Receive, assess and route telephone calls.

Job Description

• The Appointment Coordinator accurately schedules appointments, enters data into computerized appointment system, answers phone, and directs calls as needed. Schedulers will have the basic scheduling competencies to follow established Best Practices and be able to perform specific duties to an assigned area. Shriners Spokane is looking for a full-time Appointment Coordinator to join the team!

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling & rescheduling, creating ad-hoc appointments, check-in & check-out and changing appointment status.
• Registration, updating, quick/trauma admit, discharge and downtime conversion.
• Utilizing Power Chart for additional information when needed, orders matrix & patient schedule tab.
• Cross trained to ensure relief for other scheduling positions as assigned.
• Prepares and completes medical record review to include analysis, documentation, and physician order completion.
• Receives, assesses and routes telephone calls.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 Year Scheduling, registration and insurance verification
• 1 Year Medical Secretary

The pay range for this position is $17.13-$25.38/hourly.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
