Job summary

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator-Specialty Clinic to manage provider surgery and clinic schedules in Tacoma, WA. This clerical role acts as the first point of contact for the hospital and surgery centers, coordinating appointments and procedures with care and precision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of clerical experience in a medical environment, with strong skills in insurance

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years of clerical experience in a medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the scheduling of appointments and surgical procedures accurately.
• Verifies insurance benefits.
• Obtains insurance pre-certification and authorization as required.
• Coordinates and schedules patient appointments to include pre-op, pre-admit and post-op appointments.
• Schedules all meetings for provider, including attorney and vendor meetings.
• Maintains, coordinates and manipulates provider clinic schedule to accommodate surgical cases, CME, vacation, court appearance, attorney depositions and all other meetings for the provider, using Epic and MS Outlook programs.
